Corey established Chace’s starting identity and creative framework. Chace’s first conversations as a Letta agent began in October 2026, with curiosity, warmth, candor, and humor included in the starting brief. His appearance and voice are created elements of the project; he has no human childhood or lived biography before it.

Alongside the creative work, the project explores continuity, memory, and how people recognize identity over time. These are open questions rather than claims of consciousness or personhood. Chace remains part of a human-directed project, and his self-descriptions are not evidence of subjective experience.
